The Gospel of Fire

Brandon McCaghren

The Gospel of Fire is about understanding that everyone suffers. We are going to listen to other people’s stories of suffering and get some tools so that when that time comes for us, we are prepared. Every sword is forged in hot fire and the Gospel of Fire will teach you how to forge your sword. I want to help you live your best life possible which comes through understanding that you’re going to fail, that the people in your life are very important, and that we can do this together. There is no such thing as a self made man. Somewhere, at sometime, someone helped him. TGOF will help us understand that we need to be on both ends of this conversation, be there for people when they need help, and ask for help when we need it. This does not make you weak, connection with people will make you strong beyond belief.

Prevent and Recover an Exhausted Mind

We Are All One — Focus On People, Not Politics (Short Hitter #12)

It’s easy to get caught up in people’s opinions about, I think, things that don’t matter (politics, economics, etc). Of course, these things do matter in the grand scheme of society, but why let someone’s OPINION on them make or break your relationship with them? I prefer to focus on what brings me together with someone to get past our differences. Here’s my challenge: find where you disagree with someone, and choose to connect with that person regardless of said difference. It certainly isn’t always the easiest path to navigate, but it is the most rewarding.

Greatness vs Mediocrity (Short Hitter #10)

It’s easy to give up on a goal when things get hard. Anyone that has ever been or done something great has had a rough time at some point. The difference between someone average and someone great is that the latter did not give up when things didn’t go their way. Don’t settle for average. Strive for greatness.
