Every heard consistency is the key. So why can’t we do it? Set your daily goals small so that you will actually be able to accomplish them. Be realistic with balancing what you want with what you can actually do. If you set the goals too large, yes you will do it for a bit, but then you will fall off and most likely end up below where you even started. Set small consistent goals that you can actually accomplish and work slowly towards them.
We are coming up on the new year. Most people will set new years resolutions. They will talk about how this will be their year and how it will be different than last year. Here is my question for you, what will be different? If you want different results, you must take a different action. So, what are you going to do differently so that you get the results you want?
“I don’t need you to be the best, but sure need your best.” Deon Sanders
Too often, when we overthink this or that decision, we can get stuck in not acting. We get stuck in should I do this or should I not? Like Nike says, “Just Do It.” Afterward, assess the results and how different actions could have been better or if the step you took was correct. But remember, first, you must act.
Often times we try to hide the things we are ashamed of from the world. We try to deny them, so that people can’t use them against you. If they don’t know about them how can they be used against me? I disagree, let everyone see them. Let everyone know where you aren’t the best. That way, when they try to use them against you, it won’t matter because you have already accepted them.
So, you had an event yesterday or over the weekend that put your skills to the test. What do you do next? Does it matter if it was successful or unsuccessful? Does it matter if you won or lost? No, it doesn’t, what you do today is the same. Get back to work!
You can go on my Instagram and other people like me and see a lot of motivation and success. You can see all that we have accomplished and are working hard towards. It can seem like we never have a bad day, skip a workout, or are just flat-out unproductive. Don’t Be Fooled
What the hell is a big hairy audacious goal? It’s a goal that is in the future and seems unattainable. It’s a goal that for you to reach, you will have to fundamentally be a better person. It’s a goal that stretches you in a way that is uncomfortable. Set one now!
You hear this sentence often from a lot of highly successful people. What does it even mean? Does it mean that if you fail at one thing, you will fail at the next? Does it mean that if you aren’t good, you will stay that way? I say no; listen to this week’s episode to get my take!
This is one of the hardest things we can do for ourselves. So much of the satisfaction we feel in our lives comes from getting good results, whether that is money, accolades, or status. This puts us on a never-ending roller coaster of other people’s judgments of us. And all of these are out of our control. I am rechallenging you all to make the satisfaction be doing the work rather than the result you get.
