Happy New Year. So how will you judge this year? What will you be able to say was successful? I want you to write down what life will look like on Dec 31, 2023. What will the end of the year look like, and then work every day towards that? Take tiny little steps every day towards those goals on that date. That way, when that day comes, you will have something to judge your success against.

Every heard consistency is the key. So why can’t we do it? Set your daily goals small so that you will actually be able to accomplish them. Be realistic with balancing what you want with what you can actually do. If you set the goals too large, yes you will do it for a bit, but then you will fall off and most likely end up below where you even started. Set small consistent goals that you can actually accomplish and work slowly towards them.

We are coming up on the new year. Most people will set new years resolutions. They will talk about how this will be their year and how it will be different than last year. Here is my question for you, what will be different? If you want different results, you must take a different action. So, what are you going to do differently so that you get the results you want?

Too often, when we overthink this or that decision, we can get stuck in not acting. We get stuck in should I do this or should I not? Like Nike says, “Just Do It.” Afterward, assess the results and how different actions could have been better or if the step you took was correct. But remember, first, you must act.

Often times we try to hide the things we are ashamed of from the world.   We try to deny them, so that people can’t use them against you.  If they don’t know about them how can they be used against me? I disagree, let everyone see them.  Let everyone know where you aren’t the best.  That way, when they try to use them against you, it won’t matter because you have already accepted them.

So, you had an event yesterday or over the weekend that put your skills to the test. What do you do next? Does it matter if it was successful or unsuccessful? Does it matter if you won or lost? No, it doesn’t, what you do today is the same. Get back to work!
